Meet your Hosts

The Jamieson family reside at Chateau de Séguenville of which Gite du Rossignol is a "dépendance". From the awe inspiring views to the incredible oak staircase and  beautifully decorated rooms, every detail is carefully thought out to ensure a comfortable and memorable stay.

The conversion of this old farm building dating back to the 1800s and earlier, has been meticulously managed to create a warm and inviting atmosphere that truly reflects the spirit of the French countryside.

Rates & Seasons

Rates & Seasons

Our Seasons are divided into High and Low; during the High season the Gite is rented out on a Weekly basis (Saturday to Saturday) and a single rate applies. During the Low season the Gite can be rented from 3 days and with a lower rate for half occupancy (please enquire via the contact form).

From Golf @ UGolf - Las Martines or Toulouse (several) to Water and Theme parks, there is plenty to do when in the Midi Pyrenees.

The beaches of Narbonne are 2.5 to 3 hours away,

The mountains of the Pyrenees are around 2 to 2.5hrs away,

Water sports available in Beaumont de Lomagne, St Cricq and St Clar

Cycling is popular from the front door to across the region; likewise Tennis remains a great French Pastime with Courts in Cadours and Beaumont.

Rugby is of course the king of the region and games can be watched in Toulouse in the season. Local games are played at the Stade de Brignemont.

Food and wine is what this region of France loves!

From shopping at the weekly markets for local and fresh / seasonal products to dining out - the Gascogne region has it all.

Within easy driving distance one can enjoy Freshly made pizza (Cox), Michelin rated dinner (Drudas), a book and and toastie (Sarrant) and a plethora of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets in Beaumont, Mauvezin, Cadours, Namaste (Puyssegur). 

Fresh bread and croissants are available most days in Cadours or Beaumont.

St Sardos is the local wine appellation and well worth a visit. If you venture further West then you will discover the heart of the Argmanac country in the Gers.

From walks down country lanes to a Basketball hoop in the local community barn to just taking in the views, one can enjoy this little bit of paradise and get away from it all.

There is also the option of a Yoga sessions or even a Massage in the Gite (subject to availability)

There is a cinema in Beaumont and Museums in Toulouse as well as the famous Capitale. Canal trips down the Canal du Midi can be arranged.

The stunning oak staircase with chandeliers - an Anglo French Masterpiece 

The ground floor stone flooring is cool in summer and warmed by underfloor heating in winter.

Oak floors abounds on the first floor with the added benefit in winter of underfloor heating. The original Oak and Chestnut beams have been retained and are left exposed to show off the origins of this building.

The Ground Floor bedroom is fully accessible with its own door to the Garden and parking area and an adjoining wet room

The First floor contains a Master Bedroom, ensuite, and 2 further bedrooms with a shared bathroom
